What we offer
Torslanda Battery Assembly Shop (TBA) has just started production. In our new factory, you will have the opportunity to continue our journey of creating improvements and developing together with all of us at TBA.
Our highly automated production equipment consists of laser and plasma technology, PLC systems, robots, equipment for glue and sealant application, painting, transport systems, and product-specific mechanics.
As a Maintenance Engineer in Facility Technology, your mission is to ensure the operational safety of the facility. This position is day-shift and is covered by the IF Metall collective agreement.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The goal is to continuously increase technical availability and optimize plant utilization in balance with cost efficiency.
As a Maintenance Engineer in Facility Technology, you will work with both preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance. You will continuously update relevant documentation and the spare parts structure in Maximo. Based on data and analysis, you will ensure equipment performance and development towards future technologies.
You possess specialist competence and hold the competency area together, driving development and results in projects for future investments. In this role, you are also responsible for the technical part of service agreements during procurement, together with purchasing, and evaluate contracted suppliers. The work is performed cross-functionally with production as the main customer and a large network of various organizations and suppliers.
Other common tasks include:
- Providing input to standards and project specifications for maintenance-related areas and participating as a maintenance expert. Where applicable, drive/initiate risk assessments.
- Identifying training needs together with management.
- Investigating the need for special tools for diagnostics, troubleshooting tools, software, and calibration tools.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
We look for you who have a technical university degree in electrical/automation, energy and environment, or facility maintenance, along with practical experience from maintenance work in facility technology and automation. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Value Driven Maintenance (VDM), as well as if you have previously worked in maintenance for facilities and plants, preferably at Volvo Cars.
Other advantageous skills include the Machinery Directive (Machine Safety), experience with the maintenance system Maximo, and various problem-solving methods.
You have good knowledge of English and Swedish, as well as very good computer skills and knowledge of handling the company's maintenance and documentation systems.
